Inquest into death of John Robert Buehler scheduled for July

NORTHERN BC–An inquest into the death of John Robert Buehler has been scheduled by the BC Coroners Service and is set to begin July 15.

Buehler’s death was reported to the BC Coroner’s Service on Sep.17, 2014 following a police involved incident in a remote cabin south of Valemount.

Presiding Coroner Donita Kuzma and a jury will hear evidence from witnesses to determine the facts surrounding his death. The inquest will take place at the Prince George Courthouse.

Inquests are mandatory for deaths that occur while a person was detained by or in the custody of a peace officer.
