Alberta wildfires issue special air quality statement for Fort Nelson

NORTHERN BC–As flames continue to burn through Alberta poor air quality and smoke has issued a special air quality statement for Fort Nelson BC.
Watson Lake, and the Yukon are also being impacted by wildfire smoke. Environment Canada says that wildfire smoke is a natural part of the environment but that the public should remain mindful of the negative effects it can have on health.
The elderly and infants and those with pre-existing health conditions are more likely to experience side effects from the smoke.
