City apologizes for traffic on Hart Highway
PRINCE GEORGE–Highway 97 experienced a bit of a traffic disruption this morning that caused quite a bit of a delay getting into the bowl.
The city sent out a press release apologizing for the closure of a southbound lane on the highway and Northwood Pulpmill Road which coincided with a closure on Foothills Boulevard.
“Once we noticed the significant effects on traffic travelling southbound on Highway 97, we removed the lane closure,” says Gina Layte Liston, Director of Public Works. “Unfortunately, even though the lane closure was removed within the hour, it still took some time for traffic to return to normal and we apologize for the inconvenience that motorists experienced.”
