Fire on Kelly Street leaves property severely damaged

PRINCE GEORGE—Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at the 300 block of Kelly Street this morning (May 26) at 5 a.m.

Three halls responded with 15 fire fighters. Crews found the back of a residential structure on fire with heavy black smoke coming from the rear of the structure. A fast attack by fire crews knocked down and extinguished the fire quickly.

There were no occupants in the structure at the time of the incident. The loss of the structure is estimated at $180,000.

The cause of the fire is currently undetermined and is under investigation.
