RCMP reminds public not to leave babies and pets in cars as weather warms

After an incident on the weekend where a child was left alone in a car on a hot day; RCMP are reminding the public to not leave children or pets alone in closed vehicles as the weather warms up.

23 incidents–with only 1 child related one–have been reported to police in May alone.

The mill was fined more than 81 thousand dollars last year for failing to maintain a recovery boiler and failing to comply with permit limits.

UNBC study investigates predatory nature of cats

UNBC researchers have launched a study to see if there are ways to reduce bird kills by cats by using high visibility collars. The bright colour of the collar would help birds see the predator giving it a chance to escape its claws.
