6 northern communities receive grants for safer and convenient travel through province

NORTHERN BC–Some northern communities will be receiving upgrades at several community airports throughout the province thanks to the latest round of BC Air Access Program grants.

The grants released to airports across BC total up to $8 million and will help improve traveller safety and convenience.

Some of the improvements include runway resurfacing, terminal building expansions, increased medevac services and an attempt to reduce environmental risks and greenhouse gas emissions.
