UNBC marks 26th Convocation, installs new Chancellor

PRINCE GEORGE – UNBC convocation ceremonies are underway today, with over 700 grads crossing the stage in Prince George. First order of the day was the installation of the University’s 7th chancellor.
Dr. Joseph Arthur Gosnell Sr. is a well-respected and distinguished hereditary chief of the Nisg_a’a Nation and was the lead in the historic negotiations that lead to the treaty signing in 1997. Along with multiple honorary degrees, Gosnell also holds an order of British Columbia, Order of Canada, and the Queen’s Jubilee medal.
Honorary degrees today are going to Jo-ann Archibald and John Brink.
