BRITISH COLUMBIA— British Columbia’s minimum wage gets a $1.20 raise today, boosting it to $13.85 an hour.

Some say it’s still too low. President of the BC Federation of Labour Laird Cronk, says the increase will help the province’s lowest paid workers but they’ll still be on poverty-level wages.

This is the second of four annual increases taking effect on June 1 of each year.
