Cougars’ tenders on Canada’s radar

Two Cougars goaltenders are among some pretty elite company this week, getting set to take the ice as part of Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence Goaltending Camp. Starting goalie Taylor Gauthier earned an invite to the under-20 camp, while at the under-17 camp, the Cougars will be represented by 2018 Bantam Draft pick Tyler Brennan. The four-day goaltending camp runs Wednesday to Saturday in Gautheir’s hometown of Calgary. The camp serves as the evaluation stage for selections camps for Canada’s national teams. Only 8 WHL goaltenders got the invite and the Giants are the only other Western team to have two goalies attending.
