PRINCE GEORGE — Update: The severe thunderstorm watch has been lifted by Environment Canada.

Earlier: A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Prince George.

“Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts,” says Environment Canada.

“Radar indicates the possibility of strong wind gusts east of the Fraser River. Very little lightning is being observed. The main hazard is wind.”
