84-year-old man arrested in connection to armed robbery

HUNDRED MILE HOUSE–RCMP received a report of an armed robbery at a financial institution in 100 Mile House on Monday.

An 84-year-old man was reported to have entered the business with a loaded rifle and demanded money. The man fled the scene with an un-disclosed amount of cash only to be arrested a short time later without incident.

The man is currently being held in custody as the investigation continues. No one was injured.
