Series of power outages has residents concerned

FORT SAINT JAMES – A series of power outages has some Fort Saint James residents concerned.

According to the BC Hydro website there have been at least 3 power outages in the past 4 days affecting hundreds in the small community and more than a thousand more along the line in Vanderhoof and Cluculz Lake. The cause is being blamed on a transmission circuit failure.

Fort Saint James resident Joanne Prince says some residents are already preparing winter food and with the outages, worry about food safety. She adds the outages are limiting communications through the internet and cell phones.
