Open burning allowed in Northwest Fire Centre jurisdiction

SMITHERS–Starting Friday, June 7th Category 2 and 3 open burning will be allowed again throughout the Northwest Fire Centre’s jurisdiction.
The fire danger ratings in the region have dropped due to recent rainfall and cooler temperatures, however the BC Wildfire Service is asking the public to continue to exercise caution with any outdoor burning or campfire use.
