SD57 holds catchment information sessions
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George School Board held the first of two public informations sessions last night (June 11) regarding proposed catchment changes for students graduating from Edgewood and Spruceland Traditional Elementary schools.
If the proposed changes are adopted, students leaving Edgewood Elementary and Spruceland Traditional Elementary in June 2020 would attend secondary school at D.P. Todd instead of Duchess Park Secondary starting in September 2020.
The recommendations were prompted by capacity issues at Duchess Park and despite catchment concerns at D.P. Todd, the district is eyeing an expansion there which would provide an additional 300 seats for students.
