Lheidli T’enneh will host this year’s National Indigenous Peoples Day

PRINCE GEORGE– This year’s National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration will be hosted by the Lhiedli T’enneh.

The day of celebration will include music, dance, authentic cultural displays, artisans and free cultural workshops. The event is that is held annually on the Summer Solstice invites everyone to Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park on Friday, June 21 at 11 am.

Festivities run until 4 pm, but will continue as part of a larger event in town called Heatwave. The Heatwave event celebrates the abundance of cultures in the community and kicks off at the Canada Games Plaza at 7 pm.
