Researcher Vivian Krause follows the money
PRINCE GEORGE – The #North Matters has brought a speaker to the city for a special event. Vivian Krause has done plenty of research that shows many anti-resource organizations, predominantly in BC, are funded from various organizations in the United States.
She cites a couple, like the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, which funded the Tax Sands Campaign. She feels that campaign lead, in part, to Bills C-48 and C-69 introduced by the federal Liberals.
“Definitely if you read the strategy paper for the Tar Sands Campaign, it’s publicly available. It’s on line. If you reads that, it’s very clear that one of goals was to get legislation and regulations that would stymie the oil and gas industry and that’s precisely what those regulations do.”
She also cites the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, which funds 50 BC organizations alone. It’s those organizations that line up the various protests that have taken place in recent months.
