Road trips are major concern to consumers when it comes to buying an EV BC Hydro study finds
VANCOUVER–A report by BC Hydro found that 70 percent of British Columbians are hesitant to purchase Electric Vehicles (EV’s) because they don’t believe they can be taken on out of town road trips.
Range does play a big factor in the decision to buy an EV, but so does the availability of charging stations, and the concern surrounding how long a stop to charge might be.
BC Hydro has a network of 58 fast-charging stations in BC; the majority within 300 metres of a major road or highway. The string of fast-charging stations stretch from Tofino all the way to the Alberta border.
