Goodsir Nature Park celebrates 30th Anniversary

PRINCE GEORGE— Jim Good founded Goodsir Nature Park and its 30th Anniversary is tomorrow (June 21). His passion for plants began as early as he can remember when he was growing up just east of Vancouver.

“I used to organize, through the guidance of my mom and dad, park tours,” Good says. “I used to take other people around identifying some of the plant life, and I wasn’t more than maybe nine or ten-years-old.”

Good shares his extensive knowledge of plants native to Canada in the park. It features signage along the paths, and there is also a plant museum.

Good will have a speech, as well as cake and beverages for the 30th Anniversary festivities. He is hoping many people from the community can celebrate something that means so much to him.
