While the Summer of ’69 featured things like buying your first real six-string and playing it till your fingers bled, that summer also featured the very first Spruce City Fastball Canada Day Tournament. Now, 50 years have passed and the tournament is still carrying on. All thanks to a promise made by the league’s president.
