Structure fire on 20th Ave

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue made quick work of a structure fire this afternoon (July 3).

Assistant Chief Kennedy says crews responded to the blaze at around 3 this afternoon in the 1200 block of 20th Avenue.

“A total of 16 firefighters from three halls responded. When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the eaves of the structure.”

He says crews gained entry and extinguished the fire quickly noting it appears to have started in the kitchen area.

Kennedy says no one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
