Real estate sales in P.G. up first six months of the year

PRINCE GEORGE — New real estate numbers show Prince George is bucking the trend when it comes to real estate sales the first six months of this year.
According to the BC Northern Real Estate Board, 697 properties worth over $245 million have changed hands so far this year in Prince George, compared with 691 properties worth $216 million in the first six months of last year.
As a whole however, there were almost 2300 properties sold throughout the north through June, down almost 200 sales compared to the first six months of 2018.
But in Kitimat, the site of a major LNG development, the value of homes sold increased 66 per cent year over year.
