Thousands celebrating Pride in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE— The 22nd Annual Pride Parade was a celebration of diversity and acceptance.

Thousands participated in or watched the parade. A variety of floats filled the downtown streets, with plenty of colors and smiles.

The Pride Parade has substantially grown over the years. More people are supporting the LGBTQ+ Community, but there is still more progress to be made.

“There are still some countries in the world where it’s illegal to be gay and you can face something like jail time or the death sentence.”

“I hope people take away from this that there’s still work to be done and they ally with us to do the work,” Pride Parade participant Kyla Turner says.
