More cash, more drugs, more search warrants: PG RCMP crack down on drug trafficking

PRINCE GEORGE–The Prince George RCMP are taking a stand on drug trafficking throughout the city.

This is the second set of executed warrants bt the RCMP in less than two weeks.

Prince George’s RCMP Street Crew Unit executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at local residences on Friday, July 5 . The first warrant was executed at a residence on the 3800 block of 15th Avenue in Prince George.

When RCMP entered the residence , a 25-year-old male leaped from the third floor in an attempt to avoid police, he was detained shortly after and transported to hospital for minor injuries.

RCMP say the suspect was found in possession of a large sum of cash, cocaine, and what police believe to be heroin. Two more suspects were arrested at the residence, a 28-year-old male and a 49-year-old female.

The second warrant was for a house on the 200 block of North Ospika Boulevard where a 27-year-old Prince George man was located and arrested, large amounts of cash were also found by police.

All four suspects were released from custody, pending further investigation.
