Grasshoppers, the first new non-medical marijuana retailer opened its doors downtown yesterday, July 11. The line up was out the doors, and the owners say they expect business to continue hopping.

Jasper Matthe is 16-years-old and has created his own line of clothing to support his snowboarding career. The teen wanted to give back to the environment, and is through donating 25 percent of the items retail amount to the Coral Restoration Foundation.

Counterfeit bills passed in Dawson Creek

Mounties there say there’s been a report of $1,300 worth of counterfeit $100 bills being passed at one local business in Dawson Creek. Police are asking people any currency that they accept.

Lheidli T’enneh First Nation and City receive second round of wildfire reduction government grants

The BC Government gave $574,840 to eight local governments and First Nations Communities to help with the projects. The Lheidli T’enneh First Nation was granted $18,000 and the City was granted $229,160.
