Rainbow Berry Farm open for the season
PRINCE GEORGE— Ron Seyferth opened Rainbow Berry Farm 19 years ago. Since he opened, he has grown thousands of berry plants, including saskatoons and raspberries.
Customers can pick as many berries as they want, paying by the pound.
The rainy conditions have been ideal for the saskatoons growing. Many of the branches are drooping because the abundance of saskatoons are weighing them down. But the cloudy sky has prevented a lot of raspberries from growing. They require more sunshine than saskatoons, and Seyferth expects more to grow in the next couple of weeks with the hotter and more sunny weather in the forecast.
A lot of the customers at Rainbow Berry Farms are regulars, who have made it a tradition to pick berries together.
