Missing teens considered suspects in murders in northern BC

NORTHERN BC–UPDATE: RCMP say that Port Alberni Teens, 19-year-old Kam McLeod and 18-year-old Bryer Schmegelsky, the two teens that were reported missing earlier this week near Deese Lake, are now suspects in the three murders in northern BC.

RCMP say the duo was seen in northern Saskatchewan on Monday and are now looking for the two in relation to the double homicide of Chynna Dease, Lucas Fowler and the body found near their burnt vehicle in Dease Lake.

RCMP say that if anyone sees the teens they are asked to not approach them and are asked to call police. The public is asked to look closely at the teens saying that they may have changed their appearance from when they when they were spotted and may have switched vehicles from the last one they were seen in, a 2011 grey Toyota RAV4.

Kam McLeod is described as:

  • 6 foot 4
  • Approximately 169 pounds
  • Dark brown hair and facial hair
  • Brown eyes

Bryer Schmegelsky is described as:

  • 6 foot 4
  • Approximately 169 pounds
  • Sandy brown hair
