The Spruce Kings made a giant acquisition on Wednesday, and it’s not just because their newest goaltender stands at 6’5″.

The team has added the reigning Canadian Junior Hockey League’s Goalie of the Year in 19-year-old Jett Alexander.

The former North York Ranger picked up a lot of impressive accolades this past year, leading the Ontario Junior Hockey League in wins, goals against average, save percentage, and shutouts, where he actually set a league record with 10.

Alexander was a finalist for the CJHL’s MVP Award this season as well, after earning the honour in the Ontario league.
