Devils, Assault vying for Fred Doig Memorial Cup

The Assault will have a combined unit of some Quesnel, Mackenzie, and Prince George players suiting up for them this weekend, but the Westwood Sports Pub Devils will be all in. The reigning Senior Lacrosse Champions will finally get their shot at winning the Fred Doig Memorial Cup at Provincials hosted in town. The Devils assembled an all-star squad this season of former professional lacrosse players and dedicated local talent that all helped the team to a 15-1 record in the regular season, and a 5-1 postseason, ending in their third straight title. The weekend tournament features just four teams, but that won’t take away from any of the competitiveness the Devils have been waiting for.
