PRINCE GEORGE – There is a growing movement toward building or moving into a tiny home, as they are known to be energy efficient and economical to maintain.

However, there is another unforeseen issue with tiny homes. If a tiny home is built on a trailer, turns out they’re easy to steal.

Earlier this week Laurie Stephen received a phone call from a family member saying that the tiny home her son owns was taken.

The tiny home is built on a trailer and weighs around 6500 pounds. With the help of social media, the home was found hours later.

To prevent the home from being taken again the tiny home is now secured with a wheel lock.
