CALGARY — Alberta border officers say they have made their largest-ever seizure of methamphetamine at a crossing into Canada from Montana.

The Canada Border Services Agency and RCMP say a semi truck with an empty trailer was stopped at the Coutts crossing southeast of Lethbridge on Sunday evening.

Officers uncovered 33 bags of meth weighing about 50 kilograms in the cab’s front seat concealed in a box and a duffel bag.

That’s about 500,000 doses with a street value of $3 million.
