Rural dividend deadline approaching

VICTORIA– The BC government is reminding local governments, Indigenous communities and organizations to get their applications in for the sixth intake of the BC Rural Dividend program.

“Our government is committed to supporting rural communities throughout the province,” said Doug Donaldson, Minister of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development. “This program provides funding for projects that create sustainable jobs, forge strong partnerships and support economic development in small communities.”

The program aims at supporting and strengthening rural communities across BC. The deadline for the sixth intake is August 15, 2019. To be eligible for funding projects must take place in, or directly benefit a community with 25,000 or fewer.
