RCMP investigating Williams Lake homicide

WILLIAMS LAKE- Williams Lake RCMP were called to a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of Mackenzie Avenue shortly before 1 this morning. When officers arrived they found an injured man in the driveway. The 43 year old was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
“The homicide, which occurred on Mackenzie Avenue, is known to have a volume of traffic. We are hoping that someone driving in that area may have dash cam footage that may assist in our active investigation,” said Insp. Jeff Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Williams Lake Detachment.
Williams Lake General Investigation Section with help from the North District Major Crime Unit are investigating the offence. Police are asking anyone with dash cam footage, specifically, between Monday August 5th 2019 at 8 pm to Tuesday August 6th at 2 am to turn it in in hopes of gaining more information.
