PRINCE GEORGE — School District 57 is stepping up its search for a new superintendent.

The job opened up following the sudden departure of former superintendent of schools Marilyn Marquis-Forster after less than three years on the job last spring.

The district is hoping to have the position filled sometime before January. The district is seeking a seasoned educational leader to oversee 41 schools and around 13 thousand students.

The current interim superintendent, Rod Allen, has committed to staying on until a successor is brought in.
