Bakers’ Garden in Cluculz Lake providing fresh options for locals

Aug 10, 2019 | 3:06 PM

CLUCULZ LAKE— Bakers’ Garden has been tucked away in Cluculz Lake for decades. Elizabeth Bennett’s parents have owned the property for nearly 50 years. They’ve been selling fresh vegetables, eggs, and baked goods for about 30 years.

The garden offers a little bit of everything. Last season the vegetables were covered with ash from the wildfires, but the rainy weather this season has helped a healthy crop grow.

There’s a strong family, small-town feel that makes coming out more enjoyable. People in the area say they appreciate getting fresh food that they know where it’s coming from.

Bakers’ Garden will be open everyday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., until the frost comes in the fall.
