Cats, Kings set to begin training camp next week

With both the Cougars and Spruce Kings main camps set to begin next week, you can expect to see the boys rolling into town soon enough. Both teams begin their main camp Friday, August 23rd. The Cougars will kick things off with their Young Guns game, before rolling through the five-day training camp for all their returning players, prospects, and free agent invites. They’ll be grouped into four teams for practices, workouts, and scrimmages, all culminating on Tuesday, August 27th with their annual Black versus White Instrasquad Game. For the Kings, who also begin their camp next Friday, they’ll be split into two teams for 3 Intrasquad games being played over that weekend. The team will then play a home and home against the Merritt Centennials set to kick off in Prince George on Tuesday, August 27th. The regular season begins Friday September 6 at the Rolling Mix against the Surrey Eagles.
