Kitimat goaltender representing Canada

A few years removed from the Northern Capitals Kitimat’s own Kelsey Roberts has swapped in her University of Calgary jersey this summer for one bearing the maple leaf. Roberts is about to enter her fourth year with the Dinos, but this week, is representing Canada on the National Women’s Development team. The goaltender, who played for the Capitals until 2016, is one of three goalies and only four USports players to make the roster. They’re down in New York this week, taking part in a three-game series against the US Development team. Roberts says she’s learned lots and is hoping this will lead to more national opportunities.
