PRINCE GEORGE–A fall grand opening is in sight for a city bike park in Blackburn.
Blackburn RE/MAX All Wheels Adventure Park is located in Blackburn Park. The park will feature a dirt bike track, ramps, rails, and public washroom facilities. The completion of the park is anticipated for September.
The City of Prince George provided $90,000 towards the project, while the Blackburn Community Association raised more than $182,000 including a $120,000 commitment from RE/MAX Centre City Realty for park equipment, as well as $300,000 in in-kind sponsorships and donations.
The Blackburn Community Association continues to fundraise for even more park amenities including additional skate park equipment.
