UNBC’s Active Minds camp wraps up

PRINCE GEORGE–The UNBC Active Minds program is coming to a wrap as the back-to-school clock ticks closer.

The program has been running every summer for 10 years and helps keep kids ages 8-6 and 9-12 keep mentally active with STEM camps running all summer long. This year the camp saw 600 registrations and featured new camps including, Junior Med–aimed at peaking kids interest in the medical field, along with a Civil Engineering, and a Galaxy Camp.

The program aims at expanding into new cities every year, with this years expansion being Fort St. John. Nicole Gibson, Development Officer at UNBC says that the program is a great way for kids to learn with their peers, while being in a fun environment.
