Celebrate even the potato: Fun things to do in town this weekend

PRINCE GEORGE–Another long weekend is in sight and if you’re not sure what to get up to here are a few things:

Art in the Park

The title says it all, you can expect art throughout the entire park, the Ancient Forest, to be exact. Musicians, dancers, quilters, knitters and painters will be spread out across the thick forest.

Potato Festival

Huble Homestead is celebrating everyone’s favourite vegetable, the potato. Potato sack races, hot potato, potato spoon races and even a potato peeling contest will take place at the historic site.

Labour Day Classic

The 46th Labour Day Classic is taking place this long weekend. The race is best known for being the race that kickstarted Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope.

Free Winery Tour at Northern Lights Estate Winery

If you are a wine lover, the Northern Lights Estate Winery is hosting a FREE tour. The viewing will take you through the cellar, the orchard, tasting room and more.
