Comedy club to hold fundraiser to help PG Humane Society

PRINCE GEORGE — A local nightclub is hosting a fundraiser to help out a local non-profit organization.

Sonar Comedy and Nightclub will host the event on September 19 to help benefit the PG Humane Society who earlier this week announced it was having trouble staying afloat due to financial difficulties.

The Humane Society has also started a campaign to raise money warning if they don’t find a solution soon, it will have to close its doors.

Comedian and club manager Dominic Oliveira says doors will open at 7 p.m. and says five local comics have volunteered their talents.

He says the move to help out was an easy one.
