More investment in downtown

PRINCE GEORGE – It’s another example of investor confidence in the downtown. CrossRoads launched a new beer.

“As a blue collar town that’s built on the backs of a lot of manufacturing and industry, that’s half of what our business is about,” says Bjorn Butow, Co-owner of CrossRoads Brewing. “The George Street Brown Ale is sort of our love letter to the downtown.”

But it was more than the launch of a new beer. A new development has begun directly cross the street. Ken and Chris Leboe of Primex Properties has been sitting on a vacant lot for some time, but feel the time is right to move forward with the five-story, mixed use complex.

“It was the previous investment in Prince George and the downtown that kind of lead us to that.”

The hole is dug for the elevator and design work is underway.
