Cougars secure free agent invitee after impressive camp

The Cougars get their preseason underway this Friday and before the team takes to the ice, one player who was recently picked up waivers, knows his future is secure with the Cats. 2001-born defenceman Joe Kennedy has signed a Standard Player Agreement with the Cougars. Kennedy played in the Ontario Junior Hockey League last season, but his family recently relocated to Washington and the Cougars claimed him as a free agent. From there, the D-Man surprised the staff in training camp and has earned himself a contract.
