Reigning BCHL champs name captain and alternates

The Spruce Kings are set to begin their season this Friday and part of their preparation includes deciding which players will lead the team as captains. Last year it was Ben Poisson wearing the C, and this season it’s 20-year-old forward Nolan Welsh. The Whistler boy is entering his third season with the Kings after being traded by the Victoria Grizzlies in 2017. Welsh rang up 20 points during last season, and then another 16 in the playoffs, averaging almost a point a game. The Kings’ alternates will be forwards Chong-Min Lee and Nick Poisson.
