PRINCE GEORGE — To avoid further attacks from a black bear, a man swam close to 400 metres of Ferguson Lake to safety.
According to the Conservation Officer Service at around 6 p.m. Wednesday, a black bear chased a man into Ferguson Lake located in the Hart area. The bear followed the person into the lake and was able to get on top of the person two to three times.
A nearby witness distracted the bear by releasing their dog which scared the bear off.
