14-year-old cancer survivor joins Tour de North

Local girl and family join Tour de North

PRINCE GEORGE–A 14-year-old girl and her family are taking on a 850km bike ride , in the annual Cops for Cancer Tour de North after her personal battle against cancer.

“Nine years ago, Hannah was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilms Tumor with metastases to both lungs. It was an almost unbearable journey for our family,” said Candace, Hannah’s mom.

The family is grateful for the help they received from Cops for Cancer, and decided to join the tour. Cops for Cancer Tour de North participants will pedal 850km on the North/South route from Dawson Creek to Williams Lake and engage with the schools and communities along the way. The team will depart on September 17th from Dawson Creek and will arrive in Williams Lake one week later.

The tour will stop by Prince George on September 22nd.
