Ride to Conquer Cancer Team receives 4K donation

PRINCE GEORGE — Cariboo Rocks the North, Waste Management, and PG Recycling & Return-It Centre have teamed up to make a $4,000 donation to the Wheelin’ Warriors of the North- Ride to Conquer Cancer Team.

The funds were raised through recycling at last month’s Cariboo Rocks the North music festival, facilitated by Waste Management, as well as Community Donation Bins from the PG Recycling & Return-It Centre.

Kyle Sampson of Cariboo Rocks the North says the opportunity for Cariboo Rocks the North to support any group “is a privilege.”

He said another determining factor in the donation was that all funds would stay local to fight cancer in northern B.C.
