PG unemployment rate climbs

PRINCE GEORGE–Stats Canada says that even with a reported job surge last month , the national unemployment rate stayed at 5.7 per cent near a four-decade low as more people looked for work. Elsewhere,the jobless rate in BC climbed to 5 percent last month , from 4.4 percent in July. Prince George ‘s unemployment rate also jumped to 4.9 percent last month, from 4.3 percent in July .
