PRINCE GEORGE – A project to build a worthy family a new home has received another shot in the arm. Council has agreed to pay for all the City’s fees so the Hope Community Builders Society can be a new home for the Sopel family. That bill works out to $21,900 and Council unanimously voted to pay for it through its Council Contingency Fund.
The project involves buy-in from more than thirty developers and builders who will donate their time and money to the house, which will be built in a lot purchased on Carney Street.
Society Co-Founder Josh Eiswerth with Ridgeline Roofing says the hope is that, with this latest hurdle cleared, the permits can be expedited and, with any luck, have the Sopel’s in their new home for Christmas.
