More plans for Botanical Garden
PRINCE GEORGE – The David Douglas Botanical Garden Society has done some significant work to the display gardens at UNBC.
A new interlocking paving stone path winds through the gardens. “We wanted it to be accessible to everybody and if you have mobility issues or even if you’re just walking through to have your picture taken on the bridge, you’re not walking through mud,” explains Linda Naess, President of the Society.
But that’s not the end of this project. The Society is hoping to have a new archway at the entrance to the garden. As the folks built the bus shelter at UNBC, the Society is hoping the folks at the Wood Innovation Research Lab will build the archway.
She says the display gardens are Phase One of the Society’s plans.
