Two in custody and three at large: Electronic store sees two robberies in a week

PRINCE GEORGE–Three people have been charged in connection to a robbery at an electronic store, while two others are believed to be at large.

On Tuesday Sept. 10th Prince George RCMP say they received a report of a robbery that took place at an electronics store on Walls Ave. Police say two males and a female removed products from a shelf before rushing towards the exit, where a staff member was threatened by the male suspects at knife point. All three suspects exited the store and fled on bikes, no one was injured.

Prince George RCMP responded to the scene, however the suspects were not immediately located. Police were able to identify the two male suspects believed to be responsible for the crime on Wednesday, Sept.11.

27-year-old Keenan Frank Sam of Prince George , and a 15 year-old-male who’s identity can’t be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been arrested and are facing charges.

19-year-old Chelsie Danika Johnny of Prince George faces several charges in relation to the incident aswell, however has not yet been taken into custody by RCMP.

Johnny is described as:

  • First Nations female
  • 163 cm (5’4”)
  • •50 kg (110 lbs)
  • •Brown hair
  • •Brown eyes

According to police, this is the second time in just a week that the electronic store has been targeted.

On Tuesday, Sept.3rd RCMP received a call about a robbery where two men attempted to walk out of the store with merchandise valued at over $500. Staff members were threatened by one suspect, with a knife. After exiting the store, they fled on bikes. The two have yet to be located by RCMP and officers are looking for the public’s help in identifying them.

The first suspect is described as:

  • male
  • dark hair with a full beard
  • tattoo on the left side of his neck
  • wearing a green camo ball cap, black hoody with red writing on the front and white writing on the arm, blue jeans and black runners.

The second suspect is described as:

  • First Nations male
  • Dark hair
  • Wearing a black hoody, black ball cap with a “P” on the front, white runners, and grey track pants with a white stripe down the side

Investigators do not believe these two suspects are the same as the ones arrested in relation to the Sept. 11 robbery.
